special events, filmed throughout the year on the West Somerset
Railway, including ...
The 2008 Spring Steam Gala, along with the Mixed Traffic
Weekend, Autumn Steam Gala, Somerset in Autumn, Santa Specials and
Winter Steam Festival events, all from 2007.
Many visiting steam locos are featured, including 1450 and the
autotrain, Super D no. 49395, LMS Mogul no.42968, Black Five
no.45110, “Martello” and “Tangmere”, along with all the engines from
the WSR’s home-based fleet such as SDJR 7F Class no.88 and GWR Heavy
Freight no.3850.
The Mixed Traffic Weekend also provided the chance to see Warship,
Western and Hymek diesel-hydraulics in operation on the branch.
Professionally filmed in digital widescreen, this production
features scenes from the lineside, the footplate and at the many
stations along the line.
